About a week after I applied I heard back from the Wonder recruiter. We setup an initial call for a few days later. The call went well. Even though I didn't check every box the recruiter and I both believed there was enough there to pursue things further. I was probably a 6-7/10. We both felt that the gaps that did exists could be learned on the job. Had an interview with the hiring manager a few days later. There was no small talk or having me walk through my background and experience; he just jumped right into situational and scenario questions. The gaps surfaced during the interview, but in my opinion they weren't dealbreakers and could be learned on the job. But it was clear from the interview that he was looking for someone with more accounting experience and who had delt with outside auditors before. We ended the interview with him saying they'd be in touch with next steps. Never heard from them.
